I’m a 29 year-old artist and writer. I’ve recorded and performed Hip Hop music since I was a pre-teen, and been a fanatic follower of the movement since I can remember. I’m like a lot of kids who got hooked by Run-DMC. My current favorites include Mos and Common and The Roots and the like, as well as Jay Electronica, Lupe, and Nas. But really I listen to everything. I listen to hundreds of mixtapes a week, everything from Southern Crankers to Harlem Shakers, Bay Quakers to Chi-City Gangstas. I’ve seen a lot in my short time on this planet, and had the privilege to hear most of the greatest musicians of our genre live. I’ve been on tour with my group Rebel’s Advocate, and played with lots of great artists all of the country. I’ve recorded with several groups, solo projects, duos, ect., and still get in the booth here and there. I am more forgiving than some of the current state of Hip Hop, but really it’s because I love it. It’s like if you had a stupid kid. You skill love em even if you’re embarrassed everytime they make an ass of themselves. I currently live in San Francisco with my wife and family.
